Transforming Incarceration into Impact
Cody Sechelski’s Journey of Faith and Leadership
Some stories start in success.
Mine started in a cell.
I wasn’t always a pastor. I wasn’t born with a business plan or holding a vision board. I was broken, angry, and accountable for the choices that landed me in prison. But it was there in the silence, in the suffering that I stopped running from God and started building with Him.
Today, I build more than homes - I build legacies and I help others do the same.
Redemption Isn’t a Moment It’s a Mindset
Texas taught me to be tough, but prison taught me to be still. Incarceration stripped away every excuse and left only one question:
What will you do with what’s left?
Most people wait for the right time to change. I learned that faith isn’t passive - it’s how you move forward when everything says you can’t. Leadership doesn’t begin when you’re promoted. It begins when you take ownership of your own story.
Faith Is More Than a Feeling It’s a Framework
In every blueprint I build, every business I buy, every sermon I preach, there’s a pattern:
Vision.
Discipline.
Legacy.
You can’t skip step one.
If you don’t know what you’re building, the world will hand you a hammer and tell you to start swinging anyway. That’s why I believe vision isn’t optional, it’s essential.
I coach men to clarify the blueprint God already planted in them - and start laying bricks with purpose, not pressure.
From Concrete Walls to Concrete Results
Today, I lead construction teams across Texas and beyond. I acquire licensed trade businesses and invest in real estate that reflects my philosophy:
“If it’s not strong, it’s not luxury. If it can’t last, it’s not worth building.”
But my real investment?
People.
I don’t just build wealth - I build people.
I help fathers show up. I help entrepreneurs stop chasing hype and start building high-integrity success. I help leaders stop hiding behind “potential” and finally walk in purpose.
Why Legacy Requires Grit and Grace
The road from prison to pulpit wasn’t pretty. There were relapses, regrets, and rebuilds. But what saved me wasn’t a program. It was discipline + divine direction.
Your legacy isn’t found in a title - it’s found in how you show up when nobody’s clapping.
It’s found in the apology you make to your son.
The business you build with honesty.
The boundaries you keep when no one’s watching.
What I Know for Sure
God doesn’t do small.
Weak foundations can’t hold heavy blessings.
You weren’t made to live in someone else’s dream.
Pain isn’t punishment—it’s preparation.
Real results require real action.
